SEO Outsourcing – Should You Go For It?

Outsourcing is a common concept in the economy. As companies try to make more profit, they are subsequently reducing costs wherever they can. In the world of blogging, marketing is definitely on top of that list when it comes to the amount of money that you have to put aside.

With that being said, you need to calculate your costs and make sure you are running a profitable organisation. However, there is a catch. For a website to be useful, it needs a good SEO expert who will place it among the top 10 Google results.

As it usually goes, such a service is quite pricey in the western countries. On the opposite side, we have a lot of companies from India, Philippines and other countries that can do the same job for the much lower price. So, the question is, should I employ those businesses and outsource my SEO?

  1. When it comes to SEO, it is hard to tell what you are buying

SEO is a very volatile profession. Things that work this year may become completely obsolete the following year. In fact, they can even get you in trouble.

On top of that, websites and website owners are different from industry to industry. Due to this fact, you never know how an SEO company will perform in your particular market. Even if they had interesting results so far, your industry might prove to be an obstacle they cannot overcome.

That being said, there is no guarantee telling you whether a company from a developed or a company from an underdeveloped country will perform better. Due to this, the best thing you can do is compare prices and business’ reputation.

  1. Lower price will always be a factor

Truth be told, investing in SEO is only worth it if it allows you to rank in top 10 pages of Google. Nevertheless, it needs to be regarded as a long-term investment. With that in mind, you have to consider it as something you are going to pay for in months to come.

SEO is not a one-time deal. It is a continuous service that will provide results after some time. Having in mind that you have to invest in it for a long time, you need to consider the price. Although the outsourced company may provide worse results than a highly reputable SEO company from the western world, it will still produce some results. And trust me, every little bit matters in SEO.

Outsourcing is especially suitable for small businesses with a restricted budget. At the end of the day, given all the things we know about SEO, who can tell you if a small outsourced company will provide worse results than a pricey company? In certain cases, small SEO companies provide superior results making the total investment that much better.

  1. Outsourced companies have more to prove

Again, we come to money. Outsourcing is a unique concept. It allows professionals from underdeveloped countries to make extra profit.

On average, even though they are outsourced, the money they are getting from a website is more than worth it to make an extra effort. In other words, you can satisfy them with much less money.

Seeing this as a potential opportunity for their company, outsourced professionals are willing to go an extra mile and provide additional services outside the agreement. They are more proactive and willing to tackle difficulties as they appear.

Unfortunately, there is also a downside to this. If outsourced SEO company provides bad results, this means that it will lose a client. Not willing to lose a source of profit, some of them are prepared for desperate moves including gray hat methods. Needless to say, this can prove to be disastrous for your website.

  1. Cultural differences

The relationship between a web site and foreign outsourcing company is sometimes a rocky one. This is mostly due to cultural difference and language barriers. Conflict may arise from situations which otherwise could be seen as absurd.

In some cases, it was difficult to behave properly as you are not accustomed to the particular type of behaviour. However, this was more common 10 or 5 years ago. As we become a global society, these differences become smaller and in time, they will probably vanish altogether.

As you can see, numerous things need to be considered when employing services of an SEO outsourcing company. Like with any other service, the reputation of the enterprise, as well as the person running the organisation, are the crucial points determining the success of a relationship? People have had the different experience when employing foreign help. Nevertheless, it is a good way for a fledgeling company to get some necessary assistance and propel its website at a low cost.

  1. Hey Gurunath,

Several new businesses and startups engage with overseas companies in an effort to save money in the beginning. The lure of SEO services for only a few hundred dollars when a professional agency will quote several thousand dollars is enough to hook many business owners.

The majority of these low-quality SEO offers focus on the number of links being offered, and an inexperienced business owner assumes that more is better. Proper SEO involves much more than just blasting thousands of links. Content creation and distribution, outreach and link-building strategies can not be done the correct way for a few hundred dollars. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

    With best regards,

  2. Yes, I agree with Saurah, SEO is a long-term process we need to monitor and work on this to reach the goal consistently. But some companies without knowing the importance of SEO they are choosing a weak digital marketing company because they are offering low cost. And their work activities also low quality and they don’t have that much experienced in the new technique they will follow the old method itself for long, long time. So before going for outsourcing, we must be aware of the digital marketing company and their link building strategies.
